Nefesh – A Visual Journey in Time and Space
Michael Alford will read an original short story, which will transport the reader in time and place
to some of the great art museums and cities in Europe.
Rather than travel through Asia with his friends after army service in Israel, Daniel chooses
instead to fulfill his dream to visit the great museums in Europe: The Sistine Chapel at the
Vatican, The Musee Chagall in Nice and the Musee Orsay in Paris. It transpires that Daniel’s
journey is not at all what he expects it to be.
While reading the story, Michael will provide a visual slide journey, giving the viewer an artistic
treat.
Michael has self-published three books: What’s Luck Got to With It (a family biography), The
Degenerate Saxophonist (an historical thriller), and When Your Chickens Come Home to Roost
(a collection of short stories).
Last season, Michael gave two well attended presentations in San Miguel on music and art
respectively, based on The Degenerate Saxophonist, the latter at the JC3
