Pride, envy, vanity… How far would you go for recognition?

"Footnote," is a great film that delves into the complexities of family dynamics, intellectual rivalry, and the relentless pursuit of truth. "Footnote" takes us on an emotional journey through the world of academia, where two scholars—a father and son—compete for the highest accolades in their field. As secrets are revealed and tensions rise, the film explores themes of ambition, jealousy, and the true meaning of success. This film was nominated for best international film at the Oscars. Following the film there will be a film analysis and discussion with independent filmmaker and scholar Elías Nahmías who has studied and worked in every aspect of filmmaking for 40 years.
