Mimouna: Icing on the Cake
Mimouna offers a different narrative. It invites all Jews – Sephardi and Ashkenazi – to experience a joyous brand of Judaism, one of sunshine, warm desert climates, joie de vivre and cordial relations with our non-Jewish neighbors.
Mimouna is an exuberant Moroccan festivity marking the end of Passover that is now celebrated worldwide. People gather to eat all manner of leavened products, including bread, cake and cookies. Along with a live Klezmer Band, included are food, alcoholic beverages, music and dancing too.
