An Engaging Literary Conversation on Jewish Poetry with Amy Gottlieb and Judyth Hill

San Miguel Writers Conference faculty Amy Gottlieb and Judyth Hill will read new poems, discuss the many lineages in contemporary Jewish poetry.  Judyth, a poet and Amy, a novelist-poet, will share insights and craft tips. 

Doors open at 1:30pm for socializing. This study session begins at 2pm and will be given in English

Meet, greet and eat at a reception for Amy Gottlieb and Judyth Hill after their Roots and Branches Afternoon of Jewish Poetry.  Pizza, salad, fruit, cookies, tea and coffee will be provided.  Wine will be available for purchase.

Roots and Branches, A Jewish Poetry Workshop with Amy Gottlieb and Judyth Hill

A generative poetry-writing workshop

Sunday, February 19th, 4pm – 5:30pm

As a follow-up to their “Roots and Branches” two earlier programs, Jewish Book Award winner Amy Gottlieb and PEN President Judyth Hill will facilitate a generative poetry writing workshop. They will offer two enticing writing prompts with inspiring Jewish sources and provide feedback.  No prior writing experience necessary. All are welcome.

Beverages and cookies will remain available during the workshop.

Suggested Price: 1,200 MXP general admission, 1,000 MXP for member
