Martin Fletcher was NBC News Correspondent and bureau chief in Tel Aviv for close to thirty years. Anderson Cooper said of Martin: “For decades the gold standard of TV war correspondents.” He has won almost every television award, including five Emmys, a Columbia University DuPont Award, which is the TV Pulitzer, six Overseas Press Club Awards, and many more. Now he is rapidly gaining an equally impressive reputation as an author. He has written two non-fiction books, including Walking Israel, winner of the National Jewish book award, as well as four novels. The latest, “Promised Land”, was compared in multiple reviews with Exodus”. It was a Finalist for the National Jewish Book Award. Martin is the only writer to be honored in both fiction and non-fiction. His book: 'TEACHERS - The Ones I Can’t Forget' was published March 28, 2023 in New York. Martin’s home is in San Miguel de Allende, which he shares with his wife, Hagar, the Israeli artist.
