SEFARAD Sephardic World Music - The Spicy Jewish Band
The Spicy Jewish Band invites you to a concert of Sephardic music that encompasses the traditions of the Balkans, Africa, and the Middle East, blended with a vibrant touch of Latin American music. You will enjoy melodies in Ladino (Judeo-Spanish), boleros with Hebrew lyrics, religious songs, piyutim from Yemen, and much more. It will be a unique evening, where the music will not only warm your hearts but also deeply connect you to Jewish tradition through the beauty and richness of Sephardic culture.
The Spicy Jewish Band is a Jewish music project led by Mario Moya and complemented by singers Nadia Merkel and Malki Ramos, all mexican Jews. Mario Moya is a Jewish composer, musician, and teacher born in San Miguel de Allende. He is a student of Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) and Sephardic culture.
The Spicy Jewish Band te invita a un concierto de música sefardí que abarca las tradiciones de los Balcanes, África y Medio Oriente, mezcladas con un toque vibrante de música latinoamericana. Disfrutarás de melodías en ladino (judeoespañol), boleros con letras hebreas, canciones religiosas, piyutim de Yemen y mucho más. Será una velada única, donde la música no solo calentará tus corazones sino que también te conectará profundamente con la tradición judía a través de la belleza y riqueza de la cultura sefardí.
The Spicy Jewish Band es un proyecto de música judía liderado por Mario Moya y complementado por las cantantes Nadia Merkel y Malki Ramos, todas judías mexicanas. Mario Moya es un compositor, músico y maestro judío nacido en San Miguel de Allende. Es un estudioso de la cultura ladina (judeoespañol) y sefardí.
