UNDERSTANDING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FROM ENTHUSIASM TO DANGEROUS APATHIC INDIFFERENCE

AI, or the ability of digital computers or computer-controlled robots
to perform tasks usually associated with human intelligence,
is developing extremely rapidly
into a new era of intellectual, and now emotional processes,
usually characteristic of humans.

In simple words, AI is the science of making machines
that can think, and now feel, like humans.

In this humble attempt to understand AI,
Bea will disclose the pros and cons of this advanced technology,
emphasizing the essential need for some sort of what she calls
“ETHICAL CONTROL MODEL,” without which we are doomed
to a future of human zombies and killing machines.

Bea will begin this investigation with a brief history
of our human infatuation with the Machine,
and the invention of the “0,” which propelled us
into what we are now witnessing in this technological journey,
what she likes to refer to as “THE APPRENTICE SORCERER DANGER.”
