GRADUATES OF THE MILLER PROGRAM: WELCOMING NEW JEWS AND CELEBRATING WEDDINGS
Graduates of the Miller Program who live in México often have great difficulty in getting a US visa to travel to Los Angeles to present themselves to the seminary for their Betei Din. CHESMA/KSSMA has a long history of opening our doors to converts and non-Jews interested in Judaism, something that is not the norm in this country.
Although the conversions themselves are private and confidential, the Shabbat after the Betei Din will be a cause for great celebration—a “Shabbaton” to welcome the new Jews, as well the 3 rabbis who traveled here to make this possible.
All are invited to attend the Friday night and Saturday services, and the weddings and party after havdalah
(after sundown Saturday night).
Religious services are free; donations would be appreciated. Please call the office (415) 185-9191 during business hours for Zoom access details and to arrange donations.
