Chants and Chocolate

You are invited to join a live band of experienced chant leaders in raising our voices in community. Uplifting sacred chanting with beautiful melodies and spiritual intention can clear your mind and open your heart. No prior knowledge of singing, chanting or Hebrew language is required. Tea and triple-chocolate brownies served after. Proceeds support African Jewish children in Uganda.

The band features Rayzl Feurer, Soorya and Jack Resels, Lorne Weiner and Lorne Mallin.
Soorya and Jack Resels have been leading chanting events on Bowen Island BC and elsewhere in the world for decades. Rayzl Feuer has been the Spiritual leader of the Havurah PNAI ShORe on the shoreline of Connecticut since 2000, and Lorne Mallin has been leading sacred Hebrew chanting with the Chanting &  Chocolate Band in Vancouver BC since 2004. Rayzl and Lorne are graduates of the two-year Kol Zimra chant leadership training taught by Rabbi Shefa Gold. Lorne Weiner is a singer/songwriter from Ottawa. No need to be Jewish – all are welcome.
